Why You Need This:
No need for a full mounted head when you can run the entire radio from the compact touch screen handheld control head. Control all radio functions from one handheld unit. The KAA0670 Features Radio Controls for on the Head/Microphone - Volume, Channel Selection, Soft Keys, Emergency Button, etc. The LCD Display is capable of Portrait or Landscape Viewing (Depending on Orientation). Plug this head into a remotely mounted radio that is tucked away and save space in the cab of a vehicle. The head can be used as stand along remote head or additional head when access is needed in multiple locations.
Radio can be mounted in the trunk of the vehicle and then add a KAA0639 Trunk mount install kit and either 8' KAA0635, 17' KAA0636 or 25' KAA0637 remote mount cable to get the desired distance to where you would like the control head mounted. Radios mounted in the cab and using a handheld control head use the KAA0639C cab mount install kit.

How would you rate this product? You get a lot of bang for the buck in this unit. compact, convenient and easy to install. As a remote head unit it is a little more difficult to operate than a traditional head unit, but considering it has a speaker and mic and is so convenient, I give it five stars. (Posted on 4/7/2016)
