WHY YOU NEED THIS:

If you take your radio into explosive environments, even if your radio is rated Intrinsically Safe (IS) for explosive environments your battery and all accessories must also be rated IS. Currently this is the only IS battery available for the above listed radios. If your radio is not IS rated and / or your never work in potentially explosive environments, then you do not need this battery and we recommend you save about $100 and purchase our 3600mAh Li-Ion battery instead (The SKU for that battery is BAKNGRCBA36R).  IMPORTANT NOTICE:  The KNG-P radio must have KZA0588 Intrinsically Safe factory installed option to use the KAA0101IS Intrinsically Safe battery
